The big idea:
Explore creativity through rapid iteration and guided "rule breaking." The funky and spontaneous aesthetic of the space and lack of direct “how to” signage encourages visitors to explore without constraints.
Design work:
Exhibition aesthetic, signage, environmental graphics, and interpretive graphics.
Logo Design
The logo and main identification sign for Think It Up needed to communicate the goals of the exhibition. To accomplish this, I took inspiration from retro cartoons.
Environmental Graphics
Environmental Graphics - Circular Wall
I worked collaboratively with another graphic designer to create this mural covering 50 feet of circular textured wall. The goal of this environmental graphic was to establish the mood of the exhibition and to embody the behaviors of creativity, rule breaking, and innovation. It was produced on vinyl that was applied with heat to the textured wall, creating a mural effect.
